NMRL Research Team's Mission at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center

Physical requirements of miliary service members vary based on their environment and the tasks specifically demanded at each military installation. This June, a team of eight researchers and students led by Dr. Bradley Nindl, director of the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory / Warrior Human Performance Research Center traveled to the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA to characterize physiological traits specific to this population, to monitor study participants for performance and adaptations to a mountainous training environment, and to identify potential factors associated with a higher risk for injury.
