Nicole Sekel successfully defended her dissertation entitled "The Role of Physiologic Loading, Micronutrient and Trace Mineral Deficiencies and Cellular Senescence on Bone Functional Adaptation" today, March 12th, 2024. Nicole will be joining the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine as a postdoctoral fellow in the Military Performance Division. Her dissertation committee members included (left to right) Dr. Adam Sterczala, Dr. Bradley Nindl (Chair), Dr. Jane Cauley, Dr. Mita Lovalekar, Dr. Julie Greeves (remotely), and the defense was moderated by Dr. Brian Martin.
